Facility - Facility IE (Q.932)

This subclause defines only the structure and the coding of the Facility IE.
Specific procedures describing individual SS are provided in the Q.95x-series Recs.
The purpose of the Facility IE is to indicate the invocation and operation of SS,
identified by the corresponding operation value within the Facility IE.
The Facility IE may be repeated in a given message.

Octet groups 3.1 through 3.3 may only be included when
the protocol profile field in octet 3 contains the value
"networking extensions".
3.1 Network Facility Extension (NFE)
A component of type NFE may be included.
3.2 Network Protocol Profile (NPP)
A component of type NPP may be included to specify
the contents of the component of type Service Component
(other than ROSE) when the Protocol profile field in octet 3
contains the value "networking extensions". To indicate
that the contents of the Service Component field is ROSE,
the NPP Component shall be excluded.
3.3 Interpretation Component (IC)
A component of type IC may be included.

One or more components of type SC may be included.
Protocol profile
- 1 0 0 0 1 - Remote Operations Protocol
When it is used, the NFE, NPP, and the IC shall be excluded.
In addition, ITU-T defined local values apply for the components.

When it is used, the NFE, NPP, and the IC shall be excluded.

When this codepoint is used, the NFE, NPP, and the IC.
- 1 1 1 1 1 - Networking extensions
When this codepoint is used, the NFE, NPP, and the IC can be included.
In this case, only ISO/IEC defined local values apply for the components.
For consistency with ISO/IEC 11582, a Facility IE with the
protocol profile value "networking extensions" shall not be included in the SETUP ACKNOWLEDGE,
CALL PROCEEDING, and CONNECT ACKNOWLEDGE messages as these messages are of local significance.
