The measuring interface is the network connecting card in Wireshark protocol analyzer, and the other functions of the analyzer are determined by a software running on the PC.

Steps of the operation:
- start: WireShark icon on the desktop
- control of the network interface card: menu/capture/interfaces
(disable of firewall blocking)
- start of the packet capture: menu/capture/start
- stop packet recording: menu/capture/stop
- display of packets in three field:
- summary line - every received packet is a row
- packet details - explication of content of the selected packet
- packet bytes - hexdump of the selected packet
- recording to a text file: menu/file/export/file
marking out of packets for the recording with the menu/edit/mark packet command
