Smart Communications Laboratory (SmartCom Lab) is an integrated R&D and educational laboratory within the Department of Telecommunications and Media Informatics (TMIT), BME. Our primary professional and scientific profile generally covers the analysis and management of communication networks and services. Lab members have considerable experience in monitoring the traffic of fixed and mobile communication networks, hardware acceleration of monitoring tasks, root cause analysis, and performance evaluation of networks and services. In addition, we are dealing with Internet of Things (IoT) platforms and their collaboration. SmartCom Laboratory has a significant contribution for the educational activities at the department, both in undergraduate (BSc) and postgraduate (MSc) levels. In addition, as a prominent player in teaching laboratory subjects for the infocommunications specializations and specializations related to the department, the laboratory also participates in the teaching of theoretical and practical subjects dealing with the operation and actuation of infocommunications systems. In addition, SCL supervisors coordinate students in their works through topic- and independent laboratories (both educate for professional activities), thesis and diploma thesis, and doctoral studies.
