IdentifierDescription
lineTransmission of information happens between devices of the exchange, and between devices and the outer world through channels. These channels are lines in the terminology of this exchange.
Line may mean a physical or a virtual connection. This line does not relate to the line connecting the exchange with device. According to this terminology, this line is a part of the device from the viewpoint of call signaling.
A line has the following main attributes:
  • serial number
  • name (memonic)
  • type
  • dialing number of the device, to which the line is attached
line-poolLine-pool is a totality of outgoing lines, that we consider to be a route by handling the outgoing calls.
Assignment of default line <-> is demonstrated by the following table.
List of active line-pools can be found under the Dialing Plan/Line Pools menu.
trunkAccording to the exchange's terminology trunk means a collective of lines connecting exchanges with the outer world (and with each other). See also: general desccription of trunks

Intercom inner virtual line: Totality of lines serving for connecting all the devices within the exchange on the basis of the dialing number. Inner lines provide the initiation of an outgoing call for devices through a line pool. They also provide access of conference and SWCA services. Assignment of an inner line to the device is automatical in the system. Assignment of further lines happens in DN records. If we assing several inner lines to a device, then the device will be able to display several calls simultaneously (multiple call appearance). ---- internal virtual-------

They can be considered, as incoming trunk lines: they attach calls to the devices, tools arriving through PRI VoIP trunks. They are applicable only for handling of incoming calls.
Their most important programmable attribute: dialing number of the device, where the external call is terminated.
