Introduction
Kernel of the PSTN/ISDN/VoIP network realizing basically telecommunication services consists of three SPC local exchanges (two of them are Definity and BCM50). Connection between exchanges and the H.323 VoIP network is provided by digital trunk lines of 2 Mbit/s (ISDN PRI).
Line diagram of the PSTN/ISDN/VoIP network is shown on the following figure:

List of the elements of the test network(Legend):
- DEFINITY - A local exchange with electronically stored program control (SPC) (PABX, Exchange)
- BCM50 - Communication manager (CM) (Nortel Business Communications Manager)
- H.323 - H.323 VoIP subnet and switch/exchange/gateway
- PCM30GS - Time division multiplex (PCM) transmission equipment
The two time division multiplex equipments with the speed of 2 Mbit/s ? which are on the fringe of getting into the museum ? which are connected with a transmission route with a copper cable and/or an optical fibre conductor, can realize a subscriber line extension function. Terminal sides of the multiplexes have several subscriber interfaces (analogue telephones, ITU-T V.24/V.28, ITU-T G.703/64kbit/s-codir, ITU-T X.21, ISDN BRI, ISDN U0).
- ISDN PRI - Primary rate (2 Mbit/s) digital ISDN trunk (link)
This interfaces today realize the trunks amongst exchanges with direct connection. After putting the MSSN into operation, the trunks will move though the MSS-s.
- analog telephone
- digital (ISDN) telephone
- IP telephone
- data terminal
- The ISDN developing card
- Cabling of PSTN and ISDN test network, connection boxes
- PCM link - line section with copper cable (with a regenerator)
- Test sets - Measuring places, (test sets, computers, network terminals)
